Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 3:03PM AFOC ran the show at LWCC the sunday before christmas. It went well, maybe a little bit too long, but generally speaking, it was good. I had to cut the file in 2 part cause it’s 35min long total.

Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 11:01PM Here is a peak at the Choirs Concert at Royal Glasgow Concert Hall on Setp 12th and our same performance the next day at LWCC.
Choir members were absolutely GREAT and all feedbacks we got were amazing! Thanks to all of you
Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 4:41PM Here is THE trip to Scotland with Claire! 8 months ago, we decided to do a 4-day road trip to the Highlands to visit everything north of Fort William... and we were NOT disapointed! It was absolutely amazing, we had a blast. Here are some pictures & videos (we took more than 600 photos, 60 videos, made dozens of stops so I had to make a choice, this is just a small sample of the whole trip!):
THU 04 JUNE - DAY 1 - Crianlarich, Ballacgullish, Corran:
THU 04 JUNE - DAY 1 - Fort William, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle:
Nope, you're not dreaming! Indians in Fort William! The funiest thing is that they were actually singing & playing typical Scottish songs in Graelic! Hilarious....
The Famous LOCH NESS (not the biggest in Scotland but definitely the deapest). The castle is called the "Urquhart Castle" (click for official website), built in the 12th cen tury.
THU 04 JUNE - DAY 1 - Abriachan Woods:
Abrichan Woods are protected forests in the center of the Highlands. Really beautiful with walking paths and great view over the Loch Ness...
THU 04 JUNE - DAY 1 - Bead & Breakfast "Drumossie Park":
Just 2 pictures of our 1st B&B close to Inverness. It was really nice and the landlady was really welcoming! I recommand 100%. We stayed there the first night and then the last night when we came back fr om the very north. 1st picture is my room, second is Claire's room. Here is the official website: Drumossie Park B&B
FRI 05 JUNE - DAY 2 - Letterewe, Bein Eighe, Loch Achanalt:
Second day was even more beautiful than the first. Last stops before the beaches!
FRI 05 JUNE - DAY 2 - Gairloch, Ardmair :
ahh Gairloch! BEAU-TI-FUL! Beautiful beaches, one of the best restaurant we EVER went to (Palm Trees picture), excellent weather (shinny and VERY cold), was the best day ever...
On the way to Durness (magnificent 70Km road with no turn at all (!!)), we met some sheeps, they seemed nice, we stopped and talked to them: they answered back! Really friendly
FRI 05 JUNE - DAY 2 - Invernaver, Heilam, Durness :
Ok here the thing! Durness is beautiful but we were not so impressed oeverall! As said above, we have eaten in one of the best restaurant ever in Gairloch, well... in Durness, we have eaten in definitely the WORST restaurant in the whole WOLRD! It as disgusting, it looked disgusting, it was very expensive and these morons tried to steal money from us by counting twice the same meal!
The name of that evil place is: "The Smoo Cave Hotel & Restaurant". DO NOT GO THERE! EVER!
SAT 06 JUNE - DAY 3 - Armadale,Thurso, Mey, John O'Groats :
We continued West to John O'Groats, still beautiful with lots of beaches.
On the way, was the 16th century Castle of Mey in Caithness which had been the home of the Queen Mother from 1952 a nd unt il s he died (secon d picture).
John O'Groats:
Video of Armadale:
SAT 06 JUNE - DAY 3 - Golspie, Castle of Dunrobin :
On the way back to the B&B in Inverness, we had to stop to visit this castle. Unfortunately, it was closed but we trespassed! And you know what? We don't even regret it!
SUN 07 JUNE - DAY 4 - Cromarty (dolphins), Oban:
Cromarty is a small village north of Inverness. A several hundreds old one as a matter of fact. We didn't go there only to visit, but also to see dolphins in the North Sea, which we did, thanks to Ecoventures . Another thing I recom mand. Very friendly an d the speed boat trip is amazing!
After Cromarty, we drove off to Oban (south). We were late because we had to take the rented car back for 6pm (we actually arrived in Paisley at 9pm!). Hence the following video where Claire drives like a crazy Parisian that she's not...
Oban:
There it is. As I said, this is just a sum up of what we did and where we went, there's a lot more but I just wanted to put a glimpse of it here.
Of all the places we've been to with Claire, this was definitely the BEST trip ever, we had so much fun and North Scotland is so beautiful. We also were blessed with a good weather.
I will probably never know why I love winter so much but one thing for usre, Scotland is definitely the place to be if you don't like heat! Last summer, hotest temp was 21°C and for only 2 days, the rest of the summer being under 19°C! Paradise.
Winter this year is around -11°C. Love it...
