Weather was amazing, 18°C & very sunny, landscapes were stunning, we took a boat for a trip to see some seals & islands, it was just amazing. Gosh I love Scotland!

Spent 10 days in Bordeaux. Was awesome to go back home, eating real food ans seeing family & friends. The best is that my mom was there.. YAY! I had not seen her in 4 years; for those who don’t know, she lives in New Caledonia, which is a small French Island in the South Pacific, so we can’t see each other as often was we’d live unfortunately.

I took a few pics of Bordeaux city center. Nothing fancy but didn’t take the time to take more, but I’ll definitely do it next time.

As I was leaving work, at around 22:40, I first saw a man heavily bleeding right in front of the main building door.
He’d just been beaten up by another guy. This other guy returned and stabbed him again, right in front of me. Went back inside the building, called the cops and went out a few seconds after because the cops on the phone wanted to know what was going on outside. They arrived in minutes.
Some more people retrained the stabber, started to beat him up hard (was really hard to watch) until the Police came and arrested everybody.
I told them I was one of the people who called them and they asked me to go to the Police station to give a statement. Was out 3 hours later!!!

That’s what happens when you mix stupidity and alcohol!

]]>Scottish Islands with Claire (Isle of Bute & Isle of Arran)http://www.tierixlive.com/home_main/2010/7/4/scottish-islands-with-claire-isle-of-bute-isle-of-arran.htmlTierix2010-07-04T11:19:17Z2010-07-04T11:19:17Zok so here’s the trick: At first, Claire & I were supposed to visit Isle of Arran.. right!
Unfortunately, I thought we had to take Brodick’s ferry (Brodick is the harbour on the Isle of Arran) from Wemyss Bay! WROOOOONG! So we went from Paisley to Wemyss bay, took the ferry, thinking we were going to the Isle of Arran. Once there, I called the car hire company and told them I couldn’t see them anywhere! After a few minutes, I told them I was in front of the sign “Isle of Bute” and that is when they told me I was on the wrong island!!!!

Anyway… so we decided to visit Rothesay and the Isle of Bute that day and visited Brodick and the Isle of Arran the next day! Which ended up to be an excellent thing cause it was just beautiful and we had a great time on both Islands!

]]>Loch Lomond, Killin, Edinburgh with my sister and brother-in-law...http://www.tierixlive.com/home_main/2010/6/6/loch-lomond-killin-edinburgh-with-my-sister-and-brother-in-l.htmlTierix2010-06-06T15:39:07Z2010-06-06T15:39:07ZMy sister and her partner came to visit Europe from the other side of the earth! I had not seen her in many years so it was even greater than an usual visit.
They stayed only 2 days. First day, we visited Edinburgh and we went to Loch Lomond and Killin (Loch Tay) on the second day. They loved it! Plus, exceptionnaly, we had sun and heat during both days!

The only downside is that we were supposed to visit the Holyrood Castle in Edinburgh, residence of the Queen in July every year), but Prince Charles & Camila were in it that day so the Castle was closed!

It was absolutely amazing, the town is just beautiful, the architecture is awesome and the restaurant was good! Very cool day…

St Andrews is a posh city & beautifuly architectured. This is where the Princes have studied. It’s also the capital of Golf. St Andrews is part of the Kingdom of Fife.

That was a very fun day, we met sheeps, cows, trees, bought useless things in tourist shops, saw beautiful sceneries and ate at a very good (and fun!) restaurant.
As soon as the National Lottery gives me my cheque (even though i’m not playing), I buy a house on the Loch katrine’s shores!
